How long does it take to see results with BOTOX & Dermal Fillers?
With BOTOX, results can first be seen within 2-4 days, but optimal results are visible between 10-14 days when the muscles have relaxed. With dermal fillers, results are seen immediately, though it can take up to 48 hours to see the full effect.
How long do BOTOX and Dermal Fillers last?
Depending on the patient, BOTOX can be expected to last 2-4 months, while dermal fillers can sustain results from 6 months to a year, depending on the filler.
Will I still be able to make expressions?
BOTOX is a muscle relaxer, the muscles that cause frown lines are simply reduced, however, you will still be able to make facial expressions but without the wrinkles and creases. With dermal fillers, you will still be able to smile, frown, or look surprised, just without the facial lines. With either procedure, it is important to talk to your provider about the results you want from treatment.

Does BOTOX or Dermal Fillers hurt?
Pain is relative and any injection can hurt but most patients feel only a pinch. The needles used for BOTOX and dermal filler injections are very small, so pain is usually minimal. For patients who may be sensitive to pain, topical numbing creams or applying a cold pack 10-20 minutes before the injections can be used to further minimize discomfort.
Are BOTOX and Dermal Fillers safe?
Both BOTOX and dermal fillers are approved by the FDA, and have an excellent track record. As with any drug or procedure there are possible side effects and adverse reactions, but it is best to discuss your concerns with your physician.
